Anecdote

This happened a few years ago, in summer.

Some of my parent's friends came to have dinner, so I decided to go out with my friends.

It was late and I was tired of dancing and that kind of things that you do when you go party, so I decided to came back home.

When I arrived I was very thirsty, so the first thing I did was to go to the kitchen for a glass to drink water, but there were any clean. I've could drink without a glass or just cleaned one, but I was so tired as I mentioned and there was a beautiful coke can on the table, so I could not think of anything else than drink it.

When I gave the first drink (anxious because I was very thirsty) I realized that what I was drinking was not coke, it was water mixed with what I later discovered to be ashes. That's because my parents use cans from time to time use as an ashtray.

Apple Event

The event follows the next structure: first, they show some images of the new Apple Park’s Steve Jobs Theater. There is where the new Apple products are revealed. Then, they show photographs in memory of Steve Jobs. For this purpose, the images are grey and they act melancholic way.

After that, they present in depth the new Theater. The body language changes to a happier one. They start showing the new Apple Watch, following the Apple TV and the new iPhones. The background is always black, with white letters. At first, they talk about the increase in the use of the gadgets, in order to make people feel like Apple products are more and more used.

They spent the first minutes of the event showing photographs of the new theater because it's the 10th anniversary of the first iPhone.

How to get to the room 3004 from Sierra de Guadalupe

Find the exit of Av. Democracia-Arboleda (inside the metro). If you continue along the same pavement, you will see a crosswalk on the right. You have to cross the two avenues, and walk along the alley on the left, until you see the UPM Campus Sur sign.

Turn right, and pass the crosswalk. Continue on the middle road until you are under the building. Cross the last crosswalk and find the second gate (bloque III). As you enter, on the same floor, you will find the 3004 classroom at the back.

Lab description

Our lab is one of the biggest rooms of the ground floor. The distribution is based on two columns of tables with computers on them. That’s because most of the time, we have to work with them.

There are windows at the left of the room, and looking throught them, we can see the university yard. At the bottom, we can see two boards. One is connected to the professor computer, and the other one is for writing with a marker. At the back, we can see a few lockers and the door where we come in.

Introducing myself

My name is Marina and I'm studying software engineering at ETSISI. In the future I would like to work as a web designer to improve accessibility or something related with big data. I spend my free time listening to music, hanging out with my friends, taking photos and painting. After finishing my studies at ETSISI I  would like to study arts or something related with them. I love animals too and to spend time with them, so I'm looking after pelusa which is a rabbit.
